Applied Innovation HQ Renovations
Applied Innovation is a Grand Rapids–based company that helps organizations manage information and operations through printing and document solutions, managed IT services, and workflow automation tools. This project repositions their existing office through a comprehensive interior renovation of the first, second, and third floors, creating a workplace that better supports evolving operations and enhances the overall user experience.
Targeted improvements on the first floor strengthen the arrival experience and shared amenities, including the addition of a new entry vestibule and refined millwork within the work café. On the second floor, the design team reconfigured the plan to improve efficiency and flexibility and updated portions of the open office environment. The third floor was fully demolished and rebuilt, establishing a cohesive, modern workplace aligned with current expectations. It also provides space for the Lowery Family Offices as they transition leadership within the family.
Our team led architecture, interior design, and FF&E coordination, advancing the work through Schematic Design, Design Development, and Contract Documentation within a fully integrated Revit model. The result is a cohesive, highly functional workplace that supports a range of workstyles while providing a clear implementation path. Through strategic reconfiguration, targeted upgrades, and full-floor transformation, the project delivers a flexible environment designed to support both immediate needs and future growth.
