The three ’R’s—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle took center stage at IA when we hosted the Recycling Resource Seminar, a two-hour informational lecture which drew over 40 guests. Presented by IA Sustainability Coordinator Levi Gardner, LEED AP, the morning workshop offered networking, basic recycling information, and insight into the impact that trash has on the environment. The seminar also featured a visit to the IA compost pile, a nearly year-old heap that is generating organic fertilizer for staff gardens.
