Integrated Architecture is pleased to announce the addition
of Bill Liddie, LEED AP as Senior Electrical Designer.
"We
are delighted to have Bill join our team," said Paul
Dickinson, AIA, Integrated Architecture President. "His
experience and abilities are a good fit for our clients
as illustrated by his winning a prestigious Illuminating
Engineering Society Award for lighting design. That talent,
combined with over 35 years of electrical and lighting design
experience provides our projects with a great combination
of skill, knowledge and creativity, while supporting our
award-winning architecture and interior design."
Drawn
to the creative aspect of lighting, Bill finds work is a
lot like play. That could also be because one of his favorite
boyhood hobbies was playing with plugs and receptacles that
his dad had attached to a 2 x 4. "My favorite 'fun
stuff' projects are large scale areas that require balancing
lighting temperature and color with interior design schemes
to create environments that reflect life and energy,"
Liddie stated.
As
a LEED AP (U.S. Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) Bill is
especially sensitive to maintaining energy efficiencies
while assuring that the electrical and lighting design meets
the user's needs. "Creating energy efficient systems
that meet or exceed the new LEED and ASHRAE (American Society
of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers)
standards take commitment to saving energy and a willingness
to look beyond traditional answers. While I don't reinvent
the wheel on every project, I do strive to avoid cookie
cutter solutions," Liddie stated. Bill explained that
his goal is to be the best friend of the design team by
working with them to create energy efficient electrical
and lighting plans that literally show IA designs in the
best possible light.
A
graduate of Western Michigan University, Bill and his wife
Sue are long-time residents of Walker. Their children and
grand children also reside in West Michigan.
