Integrated Architecture's signature building, The Learning
Center, 4090 Lake Drive, Grand Rapids, MI is an attention
getter any way you look at it. But, when you throw sensational
architectural lights on it, it turns into an international
showplace.
The
IA Learning Center, highlighted by dramatic architectural
lighting, is featured in the Martin Lighting advertisement
published in the national magazine: Lighting Dimensions
and on the Architectural Page of the Martin Web site at
www.martin.dk.
In addition, several of the colorful images are also featured
on the cover of the Martin Guide for Architectural Lighting,
a resource for electricians and lighting designers.
"These
unique photos of the Integrated Architecture Learning Center
were taken when Martin Professional came to Grand Rapids
to light our building for the night," said Paul Dickinson,
AIA, President. "Using their state-of-the-art architectural
lights, they turned the IA Learning Center pink, blue, and
even paisley. It literally stopped traffic on I-96."
The
IA Learning Center was developed to educate the community
about the tangible and intangible benefits inherent to the
thoughtful design of the built environment, creating a learning
environment in a working office. It has received numerous
architectural awards including the prestigious Michigan
AIA Honor Award for architectural design.
Martin,
headquartered in Arhus, Denmark, is a leading manufacturer
of intelligent lighting for concerts, touring companies,
clubs, theatres, film and television studios as well as
industry and architecture.
