IA's Cantilever Wins Michigan AIA Honor Award

May 2008

Integrated Architecture's design for the Lamar Construction Company Headquarters has earned an American Institute of Architects, AIA, Michigan Honor Award. The only West Michigan project to win in the Building Category, the Lamar cantilever was one of only six Building Honor Awards presented by the state chapter.

Designed to showcase the technical abilities of Lamar Construction, the cantilever, one of the largest in the USA, and the metal building beneath it illustrates the company's capabilities to build both standard and extraordinary products.

Jury Comment: This project is an amazing representation of what the client does, not to mention the cantilever just blew us away.

Integrated Architecture's past AIA Michigan Honor awards include its own headquarters, the IA Learning Center, the Forest Hills Public Schools Fine Arts Center, Keystone Church, Herman Miller MarketPlace and the Hurwitz Home. Integrated Architecture was also named the 2006 AIA Michigan Firm of the Year.
