Integrated
Architecture, recognized for innovative, award-winning,
sustainable design* is adding an experienced green
LEED Accredited Professional to the team. A passionate designer,
Adam Clark brings a decade of experience with projects ranging
from an art studio in Sedona, AZ, to Steelcase showrooms
to the DeVos Place Convention Center.
Adam
joins a well-established, talented design team. His new
voice and strong abilities mesh well with our efforts,
said Mike Corby, AIA, LEED AP, Executive Vice President.
Clark
graduated from Lawrence Technological University earning
a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Summa Cum Laude,
and the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture
and Urban Planning where he earned a Master of Architecture
with High Distinction. Prior to joining IA Clark worked
in large firms on the East and West side of the state including
Harley Ellington Design, Gensler, Hobbs + Black and Progressive
AE.
Continually
seeking design opportunities and experience, Clark is energized
by teaching graphic design at Kendall College of Art &
Design. Working with the students strengthens my ability
to talk design, and it helps keep me fresh,
Clark said. Its great to have an ongoing connection
with the next generation.
Clark
knew in middle school that he wanted to become an architect
when he realized that he could combine his desire to take
things apart with his LEGO block obsession. Architecture
meets both my creative and building needs. My favorite weeks
are filled with diverse activities: job site visits, sketching,
3-dimensional design and Photoshop work, Clark continued.
Clark
lives in East Grand Rapids with his wife, son and daughter.
