March 2008
Integrated
Architecture President, Paul Dickinson, AIA, names the following
appointments:
Matt Riegler, RA, LEED AP
Project Architect
James
Bazen,
Senior Construction Representative
I
am extremely pleased to announce the hiring of Matt and
Jim. Both are uniquely talented knowledgeable professionals
who bring a wealth of experience to IA. Their addition to
our staff supports our commitment to sustainable architecture
and our mission of providing our clients with innovation
and the highest level of excellence, said Dickinson.
Its
great to have Matt back. He spent the first decade of his
career here, and for the past 5 years he stretched his wings
gaining experience elsewhere. He returns to IA with significant
LEED process knowledge, having managed the LEED certification
of several projects including the new Grand Rapids Art Museum,
Dickinson continued.
A
Muskegon native and graduate of the University of Michigan
Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Matt
is pleased to be back home. I appreciate
the collaborative attitude of Integrated, Riegler
stated. Its refreshing to see what can be accomplished
when all the construction partners work together. My current
project is a wonderfully complex residential, retail and
parking facility in downtown Grand Rapids. Our collaborative
nature assures great outcomes for our clients, and really
is an exciting way to practice.
Integrateds
collaborative nature continues through the construction
process, and James Bazen is a recognized expert in that
field. With more than thirty-years experience, Jim knows
how to successfully represent the clients best interest
as he focuses on budget control and quality construction,
Dickinson said.
My
first construction experience was as an electrician where
I learned the importance of attention to detail, quality
and teamwork. While that was over three decades ago, my
basic approach hasnt changed, Bazen explained.
The bottom-line goal is to give the client the best
building possible, and I strive to do just that by working
with everyone involved. While the architects design great
buildings, the success of the project really rests on the
quality of construction. Working with the contractor, I
strive to make sure that the buildings look great and work
great, Bazen said.
