Job Description: The Mechanical Engineer Position would be responsible for the design of HVAC systems for commercial buildings including, but not limited to, financial, religious, medical, educational, athletic and mixed-use facilities. Responsibilities include:
~ Perform client programming and education of applicable systems design alternatives to establish basis of design.
~ Prepares drawings and specifications for HVAC ductwork piping, plumbing and fire protection.
~ Performs design calculations and energy analysis as well as lifecycle analysis.
~ Ability to perform design and documentation using relevant design software, i.e., COMcheck, Trane Trace, Microstation, REVIT.
~ Will supervise and/or coordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel.
~Interact with clients on specific project related activities including attending meetings in-house and on-site.
~ Partnership with the entire design team to integrate design solutions, achieve profitability and efficiency, meet the scope of work / project schedule.
~ Work closely with all enforceable codes/standards and regulatory officials and agencies.
~ Assist in the development of specific project related design fees and proposals.
~ Assist in developing and preliminary and final probable estimates of construction cost.
~ Assist in maintaining and updating IA specifications, details and QA/QC standards.
Required Education and Experience:
8 – 10 years of experience desired
Revit and MicroStation/AutoCAD
Professional Engineer License required
