Lubbers Stadium Field Renovation

Twenty-seven recruits and three architects marked Grand Valley State University’s live webcast coverage of National Signing Day.  IA President Paul Dickinson and Tim Mustert, Director of Architecture, joined Grand Valley State University Assistant Director of Facilities Planning, Bob Brown, on the webcast to discuss the renovation and addition to Lubbers Stadium. That project, which will be completed in time for this year’s season, lowers the playing surface by seven feet and utilizes the existing topography to create a natural stadium bowl. The addition of artificial turf, student bleachers on the south side of the field and a concession / restroom pavilion rounds out the effort.
